📜 Terms of Service

By accessing and using ErrandExpress, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform.

ErrandExpress is a task marketplace platform designed for students to:

• Task Posters: Post tasks and hire fellow students to complete them
• Task Doers: Find and complete tasks to earn money

To use ErrandExpress, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old or have parental consent
• Be a currently enrolled student or faculty member
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Not have been previously banned from the platform

Account Creation: You must create an account to use ErrandExpress. You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate personal information
• Keeping your password secure and confidential
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

Account Types:

• Task Poster: Can post tasks, hire doers, and make payments
• Task Doer: Can browse tasks, apply for work, and receive payments

System Fee: A ₱2 system fee is charged to task doers for each task to unlock chat functionality and apply for tasks.

Payment Methods:

• GCash: Instant payment processing via PayMongo
• Cash on Delivery (COD): Payment upon task completion

Payment Terms:

• Task posters must pay the agreed amount upon task completion
• Payments are held in escrow until task completion is confirmed
• Refunds are processed only in case of disputes resolved in your favor
• All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated

For Task Posters:

• Provide clear, accurate task descriptions
• Set fair and reasonable payment amounts
• Respond to applications in a timely manner
• Confirm task completion and release payment promptly
• Do not post illegal, harmful, or inappropriate tasks

For Task Doers:

• Only apply for tasks you can realistically complete
• Complete tasks by the agreed deadline
• Provide proof of completion when required
• Communicate professionally with task posters
• Maintain quality standards for all work

You may NOT use ErrandExpress to:

• Post or complete illegal tasks
• Engage in academic dishonesty (e.g., completing exams for others)
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Share false or misleading information
• Attempt to bypass payment systems
• Create multiple accounts to manipulate the system
• Scrape or collect user data without permission
• Upload viruses, malware, or harmful code

Task doers can validate their skills to access premium tasks:

• Submit proof of skills (typing tests, portfolios, etc.)
• Skills are reviewed within 24 hours
• Verified skills unlock access to specialized tasks
• False skill claims may result in account suspension

After task completion, both parties can rate each other (1-10 scale):

• Ratings must be honest and based on actual experience
• Reviews should be constructive and professional
• Fake or malicious reviews are prohibited
• Ratings affect your reputation and task visibility

If a dispute arises:

• First, try to resolve it directly with the other party
• Use the reporting system to escalate to administrators
• Provide evidence (screenshots, messages, proof of work)
• Admin decisions are final and binding
• Repeated disputes may result in account review

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if:

• You violate these Terms of Service
• You engage in fraudulent activity
• You receive multiple user reports
• Your account remains inactive for an extended period

You may also delete your account at any time through Settings.

ErrandExpress is a platform that connects users. We are not responsible for:

• The quality or completion of tasks
• Disputes between users
• Loss of data or earnings
• Actions of other users
• Third-party payment processor issues

Use the platform at your own risk. We provide the service "as is" without warranties.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via:

• Email notification
• Platform announcement
• Updated "Last Modified" date

Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
